Here in Russia, we really like our beer. (And our vodka, but that’s another subject.) But we don’t think much about how beer is made and what makes it better. How do you make the best beer? Is the ingredients? The hops, the malt, the barley? The recipe? The brewer? The fermenting process? Is it in how you store it?

What I can tell you after working with top brewers all over Russia and other countries, is that the key to great beer comes down to one thing: Filtration.

Soil amendments have been around for many years.  Their use has historically been primarily in various sport field applications, including golf course greens, rooftop gardens, soccer pitches, and football fields, but soil amendments have also been used in projects including the landscaping of roadsides, parks and private and municipal landscape projects such as museums, and botanical gardens. So what exactly are soil amendments? 

BASF announced today that it has signed an agreement to sell its Bleaching Clay and Mineral Adsorbents businesses to EP Minerals, a worldwide leader in industrial minerals. The transaction includes a production site and clay mining property in Mississippi, and mineral rights sublease associated with a mine in Arizona.

“We’re excited about this opportunity to acquire the Bleaching Clay and Mineral Adsorbents business from BASF,” said EP Minerals President and CEO Gregg Jones. “It’s a strategic move to strengthen our portfolio of industrial minerals and position EP Minerals for future growth and innovation.”
