Earlier this month, EP Minerals opened a new warehouse in Groß-Rohrheim, Germany to better serve our customers. The new 85,000 square foot warehouse, is centrally located to our European customers, providing logistical efficiencies, modern bulking equipment, a “safety stock" of products, and shows EP Minerals' commitment to sustainability.
The new warehouse's proximity to Rhein barge operations, interstate, and sea options makes it a tremendous advantage for our customers."We decided to move to the new warehouse for a number of reasons," said Dave Dijkhuis, EP Minerals' managing director for Europe. "Most importantly, our business in Europe is growing, and we needed more storage space and a higher warehouse capacity to serve all our business. It also helps us do a better job of meeting new customer requirements for special handling and packaging," said Dijkhuis. "It also allows us to be more sustainable. We can provide better logistics for shipping our products to customers, and we can meet the new environmetal requirements such as minimization of dust emissions," he added.
"For our customers, it means improved service, as we can better fulfill any special requests and we are prepared for the future by having a state-of-the-art facility. By having a central consolidated storage, it strengthens our supply capabilities by having robust safety stock levels," said Dijkhuis.
