Composting in the Vineyard Using Diatomaceous Earth Spent Cake

Sonoma Composting (http://www.sonomacompost.com) is conducting a half day workshop at Clos du Bois Winery (www.closdubois.com) to discuss composting in the vineyard, including a segment on using diatomaceous earth (DE) spent cake in vineyard composting blends.  Sonoma Composting will cover the composting process and monitoring, the use of compost and its role in soil building and carbon sequestration.

Participants will receive in-depth theory and hands-on experience in compost-making as well as be provided with tools on how to troubleshoot the compost process.This interactive workshop will include a vineyard composting demonstration in the field.
